Greetings Joe,
If by perceptions you mean the sensory process, in what way is that not dependent on mentally constructing and re-cognizing patterns, for instance, flipping what the visual apparatus takes in as upside-down and reconstructing it "rightside-up"?
In mindful awareness (mindfulness) one drops the narration (language) function for a more perceptual (immediate) experience, but there is still pattern identification in differentiating shapes, smells, sounds, tastes and touch. The differentiating doesn't disappear with language. The differentiating is there with perceiving too.
DQ is "indivisible, undefinable & unknowable"; the term 'indivisible' pointing to monism, non-dualistic: indeterminate.
