I reject limiting MD to the static view. Surely our topic (on MD) is a
living philosophy - not "what Pirsig wrote".

I think that is a bit ironic considering the point of view you and others
advocate is one that all conversation can not be anything but static,
one can not speak about the dynamic. 
 
That is what seems limiting in discussion. If one really lived by that conviction
they really would'nt speak much at all much less participate in a philosophy
discussion, it would be pointless and meaningless.
 
"Mystic discuss" now thats funny, nothing but empty e-mails. Asite dedicated to nothing.
 
How could a beginner of philosophy fail to lose heart?.
