Why are you attacking us all here (with only a couple exceptions you
could name), Ian? Since when are we required to respond to every post?
I am sorry but 3 days is not much time to go over even the pdf that he
offered, much less purchase the book and read it.
Now, with that aside, I actually have been taking the time to read the
pdf that David M. provided. Don't know that you bothered with it but I
will for the sake of argument assume you have. Where is your response?
Did I miss it?

Dan:
Bahaha. It is kind of like setting the lunatics free, isn't it?

I've made many references over the years to Vygotsky, Bahktin, Michael Tomasello, Steven Johnson, not to mention Hofstadter and Carse. As I said to DMB just recently, one project I am working on involves bridging Piotr Gal'perin's ideas with Pirsig's. I see others make references and suggestions too, and I do note them to get to, maybe, there are only so many hours in the day. Maybe there are other reasons for people not responding than "being trapped inside a cage of language".
Dan:
Gotta agree with you, Arlo. I've gotten hundreds of book
recommendations off the MD over the years. Some I read, some I don't.
Plus there's that pesky little thing called making a living that seems
to drain much of my time away that I don't waste writing.
Thanks once again for making sense, Arlo.
