Marsha said to X-man:
This is not an assertion; it is a question. It was questioning your assertion that my motivations are based on selfishness. To that I asked 'how do you know', a question. ..I was making no argument in asking this question. I was asking for information. ..It was a question; I was not having a conversation with myself.

dmb says:
But that's obviously not true. I mean, you were obviously NOT just seeking information. The sentences leading up to the question (How do you KNOW that?) are dripping with contempt over supposed "faulty premises", which is apparently any premise that hurts Marsha's pride.
"As far as the faulty, first premises, there has been so many it's hard to recall," you began, with overwrought snottiness, " But most recently starting from the premise that my motivations are based on selfishness comes to mind," you said, without a trace of irony. Then you asked, "How do you KNOW that?"

Since this quote was duplicated in the message, just waiting there for me to employ, I think it's safe to say that you're not only dishonest but also quite lazy about hiding it.

Hey, so, how about that whole critical thinking thing? Let's try that.
