As 2014 starts I've made a decision that will please some and annoy or infuriate others - you can't please everyone!
I've observed Marsha over the last few months and, despite the warnings given to her in the past I do not believe that there has been any substantial change in the way that she approaches discussion with others which is what I specifically asked for. As such I have removed Marsha from MD in order to give the list a fighting chance of resuming intelligent conversation that centres on Robert Pirsig's MoQ. That is the purpose of this list and that is how it should be. Now, about that intelligent discussion........

dmb says:
Looking at the archives, I can see that Marsha posted about 60 times in November and 45 times in December. That's about twice as much as anyone else, which means the discussion group was being dominated by incoherent drivel and passive aggressive snark.

I unsubscribed in early November because of her trollishness. Could. Not. Stand it anymore. Glad to see the place cleaned up.

Thinking of writing a blog post about scientific revolutions (Kuhn) and how that relates to Pirsig's view of science. You know, Copernican revolutions, non-euclidean geometry, post-Newtonian physics, the proliferation of scientific hypotheses, Poincare's intuitive leaps, or anything along those lines. So I am hereby asking any interested person to start a new thread on the topic.

Here's hoping that 2014 will be 100% more interesting and 100% less frustrating around here.
