poot: This is what I am trying to communicate. I am one who finds it
extremely difficult to keep up with the proliferation of posts. At one
point, I had the internet and free time in which to post, and didnt mind it
at all, as I could check my mail a few times a day.

I do not now have this luxury. (No computer, Internet,) Yet, I still wish
to discuss!

For example, Today, I have more than 200+ unread posts in my inbox. I find
it extremely difficult to follow one thread, and often things get confused.

Also, you can all notice, that some posts , although sent originally at an
earlier time, are recieved later than other posts, and then the discussion
gets jumbled.

Am I the only one here who doesnt want to spend 2 or 3 hours looking through
posts on they're weekend?

For any newcomers, it is not an easy task to sort through such large volume
of messages.

===================

I'll bring it up yet again...

WIth a forum, you can still keep the format of posting as now, but there are
benefits,;

1:When you login, the posts/threads that have new material are highlighted

2: You can view all responses to one topic without changing the page 50
times!

3: You can create partitions for a "university " styled forum, which doesnt
have to be segregated into 50 individual zones.

I.E: MD, MF , Errata, Essays, Events <-------this changes nothing of how
you would post, but reduces the chatter in MD and MF lists, as well as
giving us the chance to share other interesting things ((((((((((I .E. the
recent I heart Huckabees review)))))))))))

4: It is much more user friendly for lurkers who do not regularly attend the
moq discussions, and ties in with #1 reason.

5: Previous recent, and stagnated threads can all be viewed from the forum,
without having to look at the archives .

I could state many more. I Fail to fathom why recieving individual messages
in such a scattered and disorganised fashion is preferable?

My brother has the same problem with a motorcycle list he is on, whereas the
motorcycle Forum which I belong to facilitates user friendliness, and ease
of use, while being multifuncional;

Check it out: www.thegsresources.com . This is a very good template.
  There is the homepage, with the forum linked to it. Room for
everything!!!
