[MD] What does Pirsig mean by metaphysics?

Absolutely agree on form and structure of jazz, Marsha. And there is a
dynamic aspect to computer programming and advanced math, I'm sure, just
like classical music.

But to my mind, jazz was so dynamic for the same reason our mural projects
are more dynamic than a lone artist's work - the collaborative effort
produces a variety and diversity of expression that feeds the others into
new insights. When an orchestra sits down with Beethoven's music in front
of them, their craftsmanship is required. Their creativity is not.
