If Paul's above is received with thanks. Phew! Wonder how he 
explains annotation # 4.

    objective scientific instrument can distinguish a President 
    of the US from anyone else."  


This below by Paul (in a message for me) shows how deep into 
SOM he is. One of those who works against releasing the MOQ 
from intellect's prison.

This is a hotch-potch of quality terms and somish premises. 
Intellect="mind" and the inorganic patterns="matter" and exists 
only there. Biology and society are just perfunctorily mentioned, 
but plays no role. If "carbon" exists at the intellectual level, 
"organisms" and "societies" also do, so why not take it all out and 
say that all levels are intellectual patterns.
