ARLO: Do you feel that if culture includes business it is possible to "distinguish" them?

ERIN: Yes. A circus includes a clown show but I would not equate it to the clown show.

ARLO: You went on saying, "Maybe your quickness to equate them is by your Marxist attitude of "money is the measure of man". I'm still waiting for
some type of intelligent support of this statement.

  ERIN: Personal observation.

ARLO: where we differentiate what we do for "work" and what we do for "enjoyment". "Labor", to Marx, covers both.

ERIN: Then Marx isn't doing it right.

Platt admires the Victorians.
In contrast Arlo offers the more progressive ideas of the Amish.

  Platt likes to talk business.
In contrast Arlo likes to talk labor.

While talking politics with Platt could be prefaced with "Welcome to Vietnam"
In contrast talking politics with Arlo could be prefaced with "Welcome to the Superbowl".

Platt likes to talk about the ideas of "the individual"
In contrast Arlo would prefer to talk about the less selfish ideas of "the independent"
