He's assuming they do, you're assuming they don't. Don't pretend your not
assuming just as much as he.

Everytime you say Reality, I can't help but feel you are incredibly
confused, because what it seems like what you Should be saying is: Our
Reality. Or maybe even My Reality. You are only assuming that Reality cannot
exist without humans, cause there is absolutely no way to check. You speak
as if it were undeniable fact, but it is pure conjecture. You have no proof
either. This is a war of belief. Either I believe Reality is greater than
Man, or is limited to our perceptions alone. Clearly you've chosen the
latter, and Arlo chose the former.

You have misinterpreted Pirsig. Quality is where subject and object meet.

Neg. Quality Precedes them. They are birthed by it. Before Quality neither
exists, thus they cannot possibly make Quality. You seem to be confused.

I'm with Arlo on this one. You seem trapped in an extremely circular logic,
maybe it makes you feel important, I dunno. Clearly you are getting
something out of it, because you seem to be incredibly strongly attached to
it. I however choose to believe that Man is not particularly special, other
than to Himself. Sure, I'm all for my personal Reality, but I don't have the
hubris to assert that without me and my race Reality couldn't be said to
exist. It strikes me as prideful and vain. The monkeys probably think we're
real jerks...

There's alot more on this planet, and a whole Hell of a lot more in this
universe than you and I.

An idea just occured to me! If you want a nice trapdoor emergency escape
from the logical corner you've built up around yourself, just assume that
all matter is aware. Since in the MOQ inorganic matter can be said to make
Quality decisions, it must be aware of Quality. Thus as long as it is aware
of itself, the universe drives on, irregardless of "higher" beings observing
it. As long as it can observe itself, everything is fine.

Uh-oh! Now Platt's gonna barge in and accuse me of animism!! Crap! Better
run while I can.
