I ride to Huntingdon a lot each year, often using Boxer's as a
destination, mostly via PA 26. We used to ride to Raystown, park the
bikes, rent jetskis for a couple of hours, and then bike back to State
College. Haven't done that in a while.
If you go up 44->144->349 to Westfield, there is a great little
cabin-like tavern called the "Bear Track Tavern". One of my favorite
watering holes.
Damn, now I am missing riding season.

"Bear Track Tavern" is that the one right along the road up on one of
the mountains? Middle of nowhere kinda place?
Boxers is a nice tavern, one of the few places where you could actually
strike up a casual convo on metaphysics
And not get the "stink eye". There's a little place next to the prison
that was fun to hit too.
Yea, I'm ready to hit the road too, could use the cobwebs blown out of
my head. Which reminds me, I'd better
Replace my coil before the weather gets nice. FXDI, is that one of the
limited "superglide" models?

Black Forest, that's in the central region, too, right? South of PA GC?
[Arlo]
Yes, the road between Cummings and Morris (PA 414) is a great motorcycle
road, twisties, up and down through valleys, beautiful scenery. And
there is a converted rails-to-trails path that runs the whole way up to
the PA GC for biking and walking.

My wifes family have a house in Huntingdon not far from state college
the raystown lake area offers some Nice riding. 11/15 south from sunbury
to harrisburg took rte 44 once through black forrest on my way to
niagra, nice scenic.
