Hi Ade
I was going to add 'age' where you put 'become ripe'.
I think that all patterns change in response to the environment that
they exist in and this interaction is part of the moving towards Dynamic
Quality. From rocks to ideas really - it's just the degree to which we
are aware of that change that sometimes causes us to think that some
things are ageless or unchanging. I also prefer stable to static as
stable implies a temporary rather than a permanent state.
