Right, let's get this crap over with now so I can get on with something
more interesting.

As the owner and administrator of this mailing list I do have a say in
how you participate in these discussions, whether you like it or not -
especially as I have received complaints both on and off list about you
and your participation. That's my job here and I will do it in the way
that I feel is best. You don't have any say in how I do that.
From your first appearance on this list you've appeared slightly
suspect to me. Your mis-spelling of Pirsigs name along with your initial
post set off alarm bells. Then this:
"But I find most of his solutions in the moq simple, naive and sometimes
just plain flaky. I don't see a great deal of originality either."
and
"[Pirsig] presents these issues in a readable way and has drawn many
into the discussion. And he does have some good philosophical insights
too. But largely, I find his solutions hopelessly naive and childish."
and
"To be honest, its Lila, I haven't absorbed, or even finished. But I've
read some sheer nonsense in both books. Case in point, a mystic dynamic
quality person gets off a hot stove faster than a scientifically
inclined static based person."
and
"But he is a dilettante, or rank amateur, when it comes to philosophy."
and other such crap in various of your posts coupled with your constant
manipulation of discussions to promote your own religious/theistic point
of view convinced me that you have fuck all interest in either the MoQ
or what Pirsig has to say. Your purpose in joining this list is to
promote your own theistic ideology which is at odds with the MoQ. Every
discussion you have been involved in so far has been twisted towards
your particular brand of theism, showing that this, and not the MoQ, is
what you will be discussing. If this is how you intend to define your
participation in the discussions you won't be around for too long.
I'm sure you'll bring up how others participate on the forum in terms of
their relevance to the MoQ and can say now that virtually every member
currently participating on the list has shown, to me at least, that they
are primarily here to discuss Pirsig's work. With you it is the other
way around - you are casting the MoQ and Pirsig and his work in general
as inferior to your theistic dogma and promoting this on a list which is
meant for a particular area of discussion - i.e. the MoQ.
I doubt very much you and those you share your ideas with would be
particularly tolerant of the presence of someone (me for instance) who
walked into one your discussion sessions, declared that I couldn't be
arsed to absorb read the major part of your religious texts, that
'Jesis' is an unoriginal naive twat with flaky ideas but maybe had a few
good ideas and a bit of a charming way with the odd word or two, dissed
you all as a cult and insisted that any conversations from now on were
to be on my terms and in ways that I wish to see them phrased. And yet
this is almost exactly how you have conducted yourself so far.
So, a message to you.
Either sort yourself out and spend a bit less time promoting your own
theistic dogma, stop twisting every conversation around to God and the
wonders of the Christian point of view and generally try and behave as
you would have others behave who come into your world and wished to
communicate with you and your theistic circle of friends. Either that
or, to misquote your precious holy tract, go forth and multiply. Because
if you don't do one or the other then you will soon be history on this
list anyway.
My house, my rules and if you don't like what I've had to say then tough.
