  Thank you David.

Re: Whether God’s personality is determinate or indeterminate. It would appear the question is moot for those who would claim God does not have a personality. That is, of course, given that the question is concerned with something substantive and is not merely hypothetical.

I note that your historical references do not include the mention of God’s Trinitarian nature. If you want to get to the root of the question concerning God, the person, you will need to consider the Trinity. Of course the context here is Christianity.

Re: Answers that do not “revolve around any particular sectarian claims, what it means "for me", what will offend grandma or how we see it on any particular morning” but that approach the question “in broader historical terms.” Your suggestion surprises me David. Why put the MoQ up against 2,000 years of Christianity? Besides, the historical references you provided are nothing more than other people’s ideas about abstract constructs. Aren’t you arguing against these kinds of Platonic forms?

Re: “The problem with metaphysics AND religion in the West.” I hear you. And I agree. Pirsig has it right. The answer is not more static theories, dogmas and doctrines. The answer will not be found by searching for the truth. The answer will be found by living a life of quality.

  Happy Holidays.

Kevin
